Red Rabbit Farm’s Kangaroos & Wallabies

PJR_8379.jpg

Our farm shares a fenceline with 100 acres of conservation bushland so we are visited by mobs of red-necked wallabies, swamp wallabies (aka black wallabies) and eastern grey kangaroos daily. In the evenings just before sunset as if by magic they appear out of the bushland.

We get to bear witness as they bounce around the farm grazing, picking flowers, boxing, cuddling, nursing and simply living their lives. We also find them out and about in the early morning at sunrise lounging around in the morning sun before they head back into the bush for their daytime naps. It’s impossible to not feel connected and love them.

We have now raised some very special orphaned kangaroos and they deserve their very own blog post.
