So many of our birds are so big that I get spoiled with how easy it is to get to know them, see them, and photograph them. The tiny birds that flit about are a much greater challenge. They generally hang out in the scrubbier parts of the farm, where there are a lot of places to hide and the tiny little insects many of them eat are plentiful.

I’ve found capturing them in photographs to be very satisfying because it’s the only way to really see their expressive nature. These are just a few of the precious tiny birds at the farm due to how challenging it is to photograph them.
