CELEBRATING WILDLIFE THROUGH WATERCOLOUR & STORIES

“Saving one animal won’t change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal.”

- unknown

There are wildlife carers and sanctuaries out there changing the world for many animals. The lives of these volunteers, while sprinkled with beautiful moments of joy is full of emotional heartbreak and enormous financial strain.  They are called wildlife warriors for a reason. They pour everything into rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing what they cherish. Every loss is soul shattering and yet they keep picking themselves up and carrying on for the ones they still have in care.  This work is a true calling.

My hope is to ease some of the financial burden that haunts these angels among us. While I can’t help everyone, all of the proceeds from the sales of my artwork, books and services are donated to people dedicated to saving our wildlife one animal at a time.

Raising Funds for Wildlife Sanctuaries through:

  • Art

Surrounded by some of the most beautiful wildlife imaginable, how could I not express my love through art. That my creations bring other people joy while helping me give funds to the wildlife rescue community I hold so dear is an added bonus.

  • Books

Maxie Roo Is Just Like You! started out as a little passion project of mine to introduce and gently educate children about these misunderstood animals. I am now working on the next two of what will be a series of educational rhyming stories about kangaroos and other wildlife.

  • Education

Answering questions posed by kids in primary school after a reading of one of my books is more inspirational than I could have ever imagined. I’ve also been known to teach a few art classes here and there too.

My work primarily supports a small handful of wildlife sanctuaries in Australia. Not just financially but also with in-kind contributions.
